Ken Follett's best-selling novel The Pillars of the Earth is being made into a video game by developer Daedalic Entertainment, the company confirmed today.
The Pillars of the Earth video game will be an adventure game based on author Ken Follett's acclaimed novel, which is set in 12th century England. The original novel follows conflicts between nobility, clergy and townfolk during a time of exploitation and famine; However, it's not clear just yet how closely the game will follow the earlier work.
The upcoming project is slated to launch sometime in 2017 for Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and iOS. The game will release alongside a new novel written by Follett and set in the same fictitious medieval town of Kingsbridge in South England.
