Today ushers in a new era in the saga that is Eve Online. Publisher CCP Games has introduced its long-anticipated update called Phoebe.
According to the Icelandic company, Phoebe represents "some of the boldest developments in more than 11 years to Eve's massive sci-fi universe." The video above is probably the best way to get to grips with what the changes mean, affecting travel, inventory management, large-scale battle logistics, diplomacy, engineering, space flight and communications.
"The constant evolution in the universe and the collaboration between players are what makes Eve truly unique," said the game's executive producer, Andie Nordgren. "With Phoebe we have purposefully started to make changes where we don't necessarily know the outcome, making it an exciting time to play Eve."
