Nintendo's upcoming amiibo figures will unlock special costumes for Mario Kart 8, and the company aired a trailer during today's Nintendo Direct presentation to show off the outfits.

The kart racer will support the figures for Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Link, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Samus and Fox McCloud. You can see the Mii-like costumes racing around Mario Kart 8 in the trailer above.
Nintendo also showed a separate trailer for Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 1, which will bring new characters, karts and courses into the game on Nov. 13 for $7.99. You can check it out below.
