See The Secret of Monkey Island live on stage ... if you're in Germany

Guybrush Threepwood, the Monkey Island adventure game series' most famous pirate, took to the theater in Germany last month, according to a website for the The Secret of Monkey Island play.

The site explains that the production company wanted to "play a computer game on a theater stage" by acting out the adventure game's story. Press play above to see familiar locations like the SCUMM Bar and a cast of characters including Governor Elaine Marley, the amnesia-stricken vagabond Herman Toothrot and, of course, the Ghost Pirate LeChuck. All of it is set to piano arrangements of Monkey Island music, and all of it is in German.

LucasArts' adventure game series began in 1990 with The Secret of Monkey Island, which was given the Special Edition treatment in 2009. The latest entry, Tales of Monkey Island, was released the same year and co-developed by LucasArts and Telltale Games.
