Half off everything at Dark Horse Digital

Half the time, maybe more, it seems like Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are more about buying great stuff for yourself than it is about finding discounts for presents.

Or maybe that's just me.

It certainly was this weekend, when I splurged and picked up one of the Black Friday deals from Dark Horse, landing myself about $650 worth of Robert E. Howard comics (Conan, Solomon Kane, Kull) for $100. It was a great weekend and I still have plenty of long winter nights curled up in front of an iPad ahead of me.

But don't worry if you missed out on that quartet of bundles, Dark Horse Digital has another great sale running today. Comic fans get 50 percent off their entire online store order until midnight tonight. You need a $20 cart minimum, but that's pretty easy to do.

You can read these digital versions of comics via a web browser or free Android or iOS app. For those of you unfamiliar with Dark Horse, the company publishes a slew of video game related comics (Halo, Mass Effect, Dragon Age), licensed comics (Star Wars, Buffy, Aliens, Predator), and creator owned comics like Frank Miller's Sin City, Mike Mignola's Hellboy and Michael Chabon's The Escapist. In other words: Get to know them.
