The third season of House of Cards, the Netflix original series about ruthless politician Francis Underwood, will premiere Feb. 27, 2015, Netflix announced on the show's Twitter account today.
[Warning: Spoilers for the first two seasons of House of Cards follow.]
The tweet contains a 12-second teaser, shot from inside Air Force One, in which newly sworn-in president Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and first lady Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) are boarding the plane. You can watch it below.
House of Cards debuted with much fanfare in February 2013 on Netflix, and its second season followed a year later on Valentine's Day. Frank Underwood began the series as the House majority whip and became the vice president at the beginning of the second season, then ascended to the presidency in the season 2 finale when the sitting commander-in-chief, President Garrett Walker, resigned.
Of course, that synopsis leaves out all the political intrigue, backstabbing, extramarital affairs and murder that makes House of Cards what it is. It's a good thing, then, that you've got almost three months to catch up on the first 26 episodes. That should also leave plenty of time to check out Spacey's lead role in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
