Game of Thrones hits tomorrow, here's Telltale Games' launch trailer

Telltale Games' narratively-driven six-part Game of Thrones game begins rolling out. Here's a deeper look at what you should expect from the game.

The first episode of Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, "Iron from Ice," hits Windows PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam and other digital distribution systems on Dec. 2. It arrives the same day on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 in North America. The episode hits on Wednesday on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360, as well as the PlayStation Network in Europe for PS4. The series will also be coming to compatible iOS devices via the App Store on Thursday, Dec. 4, and to Android-based devices later this month. Finally, the premiere will arrive on PlayStation Network for PS3 in North America (SCEA) and European territories (SCEE) on Dec. 9.

Telltale's Game of Thrones takes place towards the end of season three of the HBO show and right before the beginning of season five, and will explore House Forrester, a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always been loyal to the Starks.

Players will work their way through the game from five different points of view, each either as a family member of House Forrester or a person in service to the house. Each of these characters, who will be located across Westeros, will be working to try and save House Forrester from destruction during the War of the Five Kings.

While players will control five members of House Forrester in the story, the series will have them interacting with fan-favorite characters throughout the season, including Tyrion Lannister performed by Peter Dinklage, Cersei Lannister performed by Lena Headey, Margaery Tyrell performed by Natalie Dormer and Ramsay Snow performed by Iwan Rheon. Additional cast members will appear in later episodes.
