EA Sports UFC goes free for EA Access on Dec. 18

EA Sports UFC, the Ultimate Fighting Championship game from EA Canada, will be added to the EA Access Vault on Dec. 18, making the full game free for all subscribers to the program, Electronic Arts announced today.

It's a good time to jump in. Earlier this week, EA Canada released the fifth free content update for EA Sports UFC, bringing four legendary fighters to the game's roster. The game, which is also available on PlayStation 4, launched in mid-June. For more, check out our full review.

EA Sports UFC will bring the number of games in The Vault up to seven, becoming the second 2014 title in the group alongside Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The other five games were released in 2013: Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Need for Speed Rivals and Peggle 2.

EA Access, which is available only on Xbox One, costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. In addition to The Vault, the subscription offers limited trials of select EA titles for up to five days before release, along with a 10 percent discount on all digital purchases made through the Xbox Store. EA launched the program in mid-August.
