Nintendo games turn pulp fiction in these magnificient fake book covers

Illustrator and painter Astor Alexander turned three iconic Nintendo games into pulp fiction book covers this month.

The works seem to be a return to something he played around with last year when he turned Ken Levine's "Burial at Sea," the downloadable content for BioShock Infinite, into a pulp cover.

You can read about the inspirations that helped him turn Metroid, Super Mario Bros. and the Legend of Zelda into 50s noire and sci-fi, right here by clicking on each image.
