Best Buy offering $50 off PS4 and Xbox One

Best Buy is offering some late-season deals on certain PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console bundles for the rest of the year, the retailer announced earlier this week.

In addition to Microsoft's ongoing Xbox One promotion, under which all consoles are selling for $50 less than their regular price, Best Buy will provide a $50 gift card to customers who buy one of two bundles: a $349.99 package that includes a console and copies of Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, and a $449.99 package that includes those pieces as well as a Kinect sensor. The gift card offer runs from today through Jan. 3, and is available only on Best Buy's website.

During the same window, Best Buy is also offering a $30 gift card with the purchase of a 4 GB Xbox 360, either for the console alone or the system bundled with Peggle 2 ($179.99 each).

On the PlayStation side, Best Buy is discounting the Destiny bundle, which comes with a white PS4 and a copy of the game, by $50 to $399.99. That deal is available from now through Dec. 27, both in stores and online.
