Meet the cast of PlayStation exclusive Dragon Quest Heroes

Square Enix and developer Omega Force showed off more from Dragon Quest Heroes, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 role-playing game slash 'em up, at this weekend's Jump Festa convention in Tokyo. A new trailer for the game introduces Dragon Quest fans to some new and familiar faces, and some familiar-looking Dynasty Warriors-style gameplay.

In addition to some new, original heroes — including a cute Healslime — Dragon Quest Heroes will feature some returning characters, including Alena, Kiryl and Maya from Dragon Quest 4; Bianca and Nera from Dragon Quest 5; Terry from Dragon Quest 6; and Jessica and Yangus from Dragon Quest 8. Watch the above trailer to see them take down slimes, drackies and skeletons by the dozen, Musou-style.

Dragon Quest Heroes is coming to Japan on Feb. 26, 2015, alongside a metal slime-themed PS4. Square Enix hasn't confirmed a Western release for the PS3 and PS4 game.

Correction: The original version of this article mislabeled Dragon Quest 8 as Dragon Quest 7. The story has been updated.
