The first trailer for Entourage, the upcoming film that picks up after the HBO television series of the same name, was released today by Warner Bros. Pictures, and if you've seen anything of the show, you won't be surprised.
The boys from Queens, New York — Vincent Chase, E, Johnny Drama and Turtle — are back, and although Vince's agent, Ari Gold, is now running a Hollywood studio, not much appears to have changed. Ari and his wife are still seeing a marriage counselor; he's still struggling with anger management issues; and everybody except E is still chasing skirts, with Turtle lusting after the UFC fighter Ronda Rousey.
As always, plenty of actors and celebrities appear in Entourage as themselves, including Mark Wahlberg, who is a producer of the film; the original series was loosely based on his experiences as a young movie star. The one major difference between the show and the film is the first third of the trailer, which consists of a fictional movie starring Vinny Chase as a cyborg DJ — the production values here are noticeably higher than on HBO.
Entourage, which is being directed by series creator Doug Ellin, is set to hit theaters June 5, 2015.
