Lego Wind Waker map will have you busy through New Year's

Reddit user BrucilSprout has created a set of instructions you can use to create the map from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker out of Lego. That is, if you can find its 1,885 parts. The build is simply brilliant, and even uses sectional pieces so that you can rearrange the map in any order.

But sadly, it's not real.

The images you're looking at are renders created using software that Lego makes available for free, called Lego Digital Designer. Using the tool you can build to your heart's content, and even export a parts list and a building guide.

Tracking down all those parts, however, may prove challenging. After a morning of tinkering with a tool called LDD Manager and the unofficial Lego marketplace called Brick Link, we're no closer to having a viable shopping list or a price.

If you crack the code, let us know in the comments below. We can merely provide you the inspiration.
