Young and old alike cannot play QWOP, Bennett Foddy's troll game that micromanages the act of running a 100 meter dash. So I'm not sure if I feel better or worse seeing our elders having the same reactions when they're unable to move a video-game sprinter more than three meters.
This video, by REACT, shows six persons of, well, advanced age (my Medicare-eligible parents, Boomers to the end, despise the term "elderly") struggling to play QWOP. It goes rather like you'd expect, although one guy ("Rock," in the leather vest) seems genuinely enthusiastic to go again.
"Like some of the horses I bet on," says Don. Now there's something no one under the age of 50 can relate to. Spoiler alert: Rhoda runs the furthest to "win" the race.
To understand QWOP either see our overview of the game, or take a belt sander and run it up and down your armpit for 45 seconds.
