Every current owner of Nuclear Throne will get a free, giftable copy of the game on New Year’s Day, the game’s developer said this week.

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.
Vlambeer, the developing studio said it is doing so because the current corps of players are so adept at beating the game, it needs new blood to help balance and tune it.
“We need fresh eyes on the game, people that will still get decimated by Big Bandit and that will complain about the ravens in the scrapyard,” Vlambeer wrote in the comments underneath the above video. “We need to know how they feel about Nuclear Throne, and we need your help to reach them.
“We hope you bring someone wonderful to the community for 2015,” Vlambeer added.
