Halo 5 multiplayer beta opens noon ET today

@gameelite46 Halo 5: Guardians MP Beta will go live at 9AM PST.
— Halo (@Halo) December 29, 2014 Keep in mind that the three-week beta is the sort of early look at Halo 5 meant to give developers a chance to tweak how the game plays. Perhaps most importantly, the beta is also meant to be a stress-test for the online servers.
You can read all about the beta and what developers at 343 Industries hope to get out of it in our interview with the team last month.
You can also check out more gameplay from the early access to the beta right here.
The beta will run through Jan. 18 with new content, including seven new maps, two new weapons, new modes and a competitive skill rating system, rolling out weekly with updates.
