Threes! and Limbo launching Dec. 5 on Xbox One

Two beloved indie games are coming to Xbox One this Friday: Sirvo's addictive puzzle game Threes! and Playdead's macabre adventure Limbo will both be released Dec. 5, Microsoft announced yesterday.

Friday will also mark the international release of Boom Ball for Kinect; the full-body motion game launched last week in North America for $9.99.

Sirvo's Threes! debuted on iOS in February, and was released on Android in March. Hidden Variable Studios developed the Android port as well as the Xbox One version. New features specific to Microsoft's console include the ability to play Threes! in Snap mode; Xbox Live leaderboards; and a new night mode, which you can see in the screenshot above.

Threes! on Xbox One will cost $6.99, Hidden Variable confirmed on Twitter. For tips on how to beat the game, check out the video below. The creator of Threes! is currently working on Close Castles, a minimalist real-time strategy game coming to PlayStation 4.

Limbo, the dark puzzle platformer from Playdead, was originally released on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 in July 2010. It has since been ported to a wide variety of platforms, including PlayStation 3, Windows PC and iOS. Microsoft announced last month that it would be gifting the Xbox One version of Limbo to early adopters of the console, as part of the company's celebration of the system's one-year anniversary. A Microsoft representative confirmed to Polygon that Limbo on Xbox One will cost $9.99 for everyone else.
