Road tripping, racing and rage-restarting in The Crew

The Crew does a lot of big, ambitious things really, really well. Its open world is one of the most inspired settings I've ever explored in a racing game — or any genre, for that matter. It's got slick, streamlined progression hooks that are more accessible than any I've experienced in a driving title. There are a lot of things that have kept me playing The Crew constantly over the past few days; but the game's unstable servers and brutal chase sequences are absolutely not among them.

Watch our Overview video above for some early thoughts on where The Crew succeeds and fails, and keep an eye out for our full review in the coming days.
