Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma showed off the latest build of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U in a video presentation at The Game Awards in Las Vegas tonight. The footage showed Link exploring the fantasy world looking at lush local wildlife. It showed a massive world map on the GamePad's screen. The player can use the using GamePad as binoculars. Other actions included placing beacons, riding around on Epona (which rides by itself) and mounted combat using melee and range weapons. There was some neat slow motion weapons time when leaping off Epona. Miyamoto and Aonuma joked around for a while about release dates. No specifics were offered, but they indicated that Star Fox will be out before Zelda in 2015.
