Sega’s Yakuza 5 will come to PlayStation 3 in North America and Europe in 2015, Sony Computer Entertainment announced at PlayStation Experience today. The Western release is part of a partnership between Sony and Sega to bring the game outside of Japan.
Yakuza 5 is coming to PS3 in North America and Europe [correction]

The decision to bring Yakuza 5 to the West was the result of Sony’s “building the list” campaign, in which PlayStation fans submitted which games they’d like to see come to PS4 and Vita.
“After receiving so many requests from fans of the series, we have decided to bring Yakuza 5 to the US and Europe,” series creator Toshihiro Nagoashi said in a statement. “This title was enjoyed by over one million gamers in Japan. I’m looking forward to seeing how Yakuza 5 will be received by the gamers in the U.S. and Europe.”
Sega also announced today that Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls are available on PlayStation Network starting today.
Correction: An earlier version of this story said Yakuza 5 was coming to PlayStation 4. The game is coming to PS3.
