Buy Pokémon items at GameStop this month, win prizes like a limited-edition 3DS XL

GameStop and The Pokémon Company International are teaming up for a special offer in which customers who buy Pokémon games and merchandise can win special prizes like a trip to Hawaii, the companies announced today.

Pokémon MegaStop, as the promotion is known, runs from today until 11:59 p.m. CT on Dec. 31. Anybody who buys new copies of select Pokémon games, as well as certain toys and accessories, from GameStop in the U.S. will receive a code on their receipt that they can enter on the Pokémon MegaStop website. Every code is good for a digital booster pack for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

Each code also enters the user into the Pokémon MegaStop sweepstakes. Participants can win the "Evolved" prize, which is a limited-edition MegaStop-themed Nintendo 3DS XL featuring Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre (image here). Only 50 of them are available in all. And the "Mega Evolved" prize for the sweepstakes is a trip for four to Hawaii for "the ultimate Pokémon experience" lasting eight days and seven nights.
