Bound by Flame, an action RPG from Paris-based Spiders Studio, is scheduled to be available in the second quarter of 2014 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, the company announced today.
The game is also in development on Windows PC and Xbox 360. Spiders Studio originally announced a PS4 version last August.
Bound by Flame takes place in a dark fantasy universe, with the male or female player character — who is possessed by a demon — being tasked with destroying the seven Icelords and their army of undead beasts. The protagonist isn't alone; five different companions, each with their own story, accompany the player at various points throughout the campaign. In order to survive, the player will have to be smart about how they approach battles, whether it's by laying traps or preparing for a fight by changing their outfit. Customization of armor and other wearable items will change the way the main character plays.
