Flappy Bird recreation finds a home in LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

Flappy Bird has found new life in LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, as demonstrated by a video posted by YouTube user simsim001.

The recreation uses the handheld's touch capabilities and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita's creative freedom to imitate the endless flier, formerly available on smartphones via the iTunes App Store and Google Play. By flipping the Vita vertically, players can tap the screen to control the game's titular bird while trying to dodge pipes. Watch the video above to see it in action.

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen pulled the game from the iTunes App Store and Google Play earlier this month, citing that it wasn't "anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore." In the days that followed, Nguyen said he pulled the game after it became "an addictive product."

Since then, a large number of Flappy Bird tributes and clones have appeared. Earlier today, reports surfaced that Apple and Google are clearing out clones on both their services.
