A video released by Konami compares footage of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to the full game Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, running on current and next-gen platforms.
The video follows Konami's confirmation earlier this week that the PlayStation 4 version of Ground Zeroes will run at a native 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second and the Xbox One release will render at 720p at 60 FPS. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will play at 720p at 30 FPS. Comparison screenshots of Ground Zeroes running on the two generations can be viewed on the official website.
Ground Zeroes will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 at retail for $29.99 and the downloadable version will cost $19.99. PS4 and Xbox One versions are priced at $29.99 as downloads. Be sure to check out Friends List earlier this week where Editor-at-Large Chris Plante and Editor-in-Chief Chris Grant discuss if 1080p is important to this generation of games.
