Valve's 'Free To Play' Dota 2 documentary hits March 19

Free to Play, Valve's documentary about three Dota 2 players, will arrive on Steam March 19, the company announced today.

Free to Play will also be screened publicly March 18 at the Castro Theater in San Francisco, and tickets are available at Eventbrite. Press play above to see a new trailer for the eSports documentary.

Free to Play follows three international Dota 2 players: Danylo "Dendi" Ishutin from Ukraine, Benedict "HyHy" Lim from Singapore and Clinton "Fear" Loomis from the United States. It "takes viewers around the globe to meet the players, their families and their loved ones as they prepare to play for the first $1 million prize ever awarded in pro gaming," according to Valve.

Also on March 19, Valve will release the Free To Play Competitor's Pack on Steam and in the Dota 2 store. Contributors and players featured in the film will receive 25 percent of the currently unpriced downloadable content's sales. The Pack will include equipment like couriers and skins created by players and Valve. You can see the details on Free to Play's Steam page.
