Dark Souls 2 trailer wants you to be determined, not dead

The latest trailer for From Software's punishing action role-playing game Dark Souls 2 offers a pep talk for future players.

Over shots of the game's world, hero and deadly foes, as well as footage from the original Dark Souls, the video's narrator explains that the journey isn't about death, but "what you learn from death."

"This is about your will to keep going," the narrator says. "Not giving up when it feels like all is lost. Gathering all you have in you and overcoming the impossible. This is about your sacrifice for greatness and the desire within you to achieve what they say you can't. "

Dark Souls 2, available for pre-order now, is slated for launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 March 11. A Windows PC version is expected to follow. Check out our hands-on preview from Tokyo Game Show for more on the game.
