Descent 2, a shooter from 1996, hits Steam

Interplay's 1996 first-person space shooter Descent 2 is now available on Steam.

Developed by Parallax Software, it was one of the most successful of its genre, during the mid-1990s shooter boom. The game is set in a complex maze of asteroid mines, aboard a space shooter that fights its way through rooms filled with hovering enemies, attacking from all directions.

Interplay, which has relaunched a number of brands from the '90s on mobile and digital platform, recently released the original Descent on Steam. Descent 2 is priced at $9.99.
