Indie Megabooth is bringing its indie showcase to GDC 2014

The collective of independent game developers that brings strength in numbers, the Indie Megabooth, is making a special appearance at next month's Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, organizers announced today.

Indie Megabooth organizers are bringing 15 games "hand-picked by [the] team" to GDC 2014, few of which have made appearances at previous incarnations of the booth. The 15 games from 15 developers are as follows:

  • Airscape: The Fall of Gravity
  • Assault Android Cactus
  • Barkley 2
  • Burrito Galaxy
  • Chroma Squad
  • GNAH!
  • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
  • Rex Rocket
  • Robots Love Ice Cream
  • Sentris
  • SlashDash
  • Tetropolis
  • Tower of Guns
  • Trestle
  • Wayward Souls

Indie Megabooth is breaking with tradition — the showcase typically has a presence at PAX events — by attending GDC. Based on remarks from Megabooth organizers, it doesn't sound like next month's showcase will be a one-off.

"We're excited to be teaming up with GDC to offer developers additional opportunities to show their games, putting them in front of their peers, and getting them famous before anyone else does," reads a post from Indie Megabooth first officer Christopher Floyd. "This year we're making a concerted effort to extend our reach beyond what you've seen from us before. Our GDC showcase marks just the first of many exciting happenings that we have scheduled for 2014!"
