Actor Kiefer Sutherland, known for his role as the star of TV drama 24, has reportedly confirmed his involvement in an upcoming Mortal Kombat game to IGN.
Speaking with the publication during a recent interview, Sutherland commented briefly on the project while discussing Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The actor did not provide details on his involvement.
"I did Mortal Kombat, and that's such a huge game, but it's so not like [Metal Gear Solid 5]," Sutherland said.
Konami announced last year that Sutherland would replace longtime voice actor David Hayter for the role of Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5.
We've reached out to Warner Bros. for comment and will update accordingly. Mortal Kombat Legacy producer Lance Sloane has previously hinted about a new Mortal Kombat title in-progress. The game is said to launch alongside a new film.
