See the world through Link's eyes in Zelda remake for Oculus Rift

A virtual reality clone of NES title The Legend of Zelda for Oculus Rift allows players to explore Hyrule through the eyes of the game's iconic hero, Link.

The Legend of Zelda's side-scrolling world is transformed into a 3D maze full of dangers. In the video above, YouTube user Vaecon explores the game's overworld and fights off enemies in a first-person view.

According to the video's YouTube description, the clone is currently in beta; players can only explore the overworld and the game's first dungeon. A full version is expected to launch for free in March.

The ZeldaVR Beta is available as a free download on VirtualReality.io.
