PlayStation Vita racing game ModNation Racers: Road Trip joins the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection on Feb. 25, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

ModNation Racers: Road Trip, the sequel to 2010 PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable title ModNation Racers, places heavy emphasis on user-generated content. Players can create and customize characters and karts, as well as build tracks, using the Vita's touchscreen controls. Users who have save files for the PS3 version of ModNation Racers will also be able to download and use content created in that game for Road Trip.

Also available for free through PS Plus this month are Red Barrels' survival horror title Outlast for PlayStation 4 and Dotnod Entertainment's Remember Me, 4A Games' shooter Metro: Last Light and Overkill Software's Payday 2 for PlayStation 3. PS Vita owners with PS Plus can also grab Street Fighter X Tekken.

Additionally, Sony is offering a number of games at a discount until Monday. Zen Studios' tower defense title Castlestorm, Dennaton Games' Hotline Miami, Amanita Design's Machinarium and Proteus by Ed Key are available at a discount, as well as the PS3, PS4 and Vita versions of thatgamecompany's Flow and Flower.
