The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog will expand the game's single-player campaign and multiplayer component with upcoming downloadable content, according to a post on the developer's official website.
Naughty Dog's "final drop in the Season Pass" does not have a release date, but community specialist Eric Monacelli teased its contents.
"It is chock full of multiplayer goodness with new maps, new weapons, new skills and also a brand new difficulty mode for the single-player campaign," Monacelli wrote. "We'll have more information on it as in-game elements near completion."
The $19.99 Season Pass that Monacelli referenced includes access to three DLC packs for the PlayStation 3-exclusive game. The first, the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, includes four multiplayer maps and was released last October. The second, Left Behind, was released earlier this month and expanded the game's single-player campaign.
Naughty Dog and Sony also released a short documentary today chronicling Left Behind's development. From Dreams: The Making of The Last of Us: Left Behind, includes interviews with developers like creative director Neil Druckmann, game director Bruce Straley and lead designer Jacob Minkoff.
