Sales of Mojang's open-world game, Minecraft, have surpassed more than 14 million units for Windows PC and Mac, the game's creator Markus "Notch" Persson announced on Twitter.
The computer version of Minecraft has now sold 14 million copies. Celebrating by having no idea how to play Lego marvel on ps4!

Minecraft for PC first released as an alpha in May 2009, with a full release following a few years later in November 2011. Seven million copies of Minecraft for PC were sold by August, 2012, with downloads for the open-world crafting game surpassing 11 and 10 million units in June and April 2013, respectively.
The PlayStation 3 version the sandbox game launched Dec. 17 on PlayStation Network and, as of last week, more than one million copies have sold on the platform. PS4 and PS Vita ports are expected this year. The game's first console release, 4J Studios' Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, was released on May 9, 2012 and hit six million downloads by March 2013.
