World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition launching Feb. 12

Wargaming.net will launch World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition worldwide on Feb. 12, the developer announced today.

World of Tanks' console debut is developed by Wargaming West, formerly called Day 1 Studios, and published by Microsoft Studios. The game will be a downloadable-only title and free-to-play with an Xbox Live Gold account. All other Xbox Live account holders without Gold will be able to access a seven-day free trial for the title.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition features a new control scheme and user interface tailored to the Xbox 360 as well as online matchmaking features, in-game purchase options for consumables and premium tanks and optional premium accounts that offer accelerated currency and experience accrual rates. The title will launch with more than 100 tanks from the German, U.S. and U.K. tech trees. Post-launch content will include new tanks, nations and other items.
