Former members of the now shuttered Blitz Games Studio have come together to form a new U.K.-based micro-studio Lumo Developments.
The studio will focus on the development of mobile titles, with the help of four developers from the team behind the award-winning iOS title Kumo Lumo. Each team member in Lumo Developments shares the same job title of "Game Maker" to reflect the equal experience levels between team founder Steve Stopps and the rest of the collective.
Blitz Games Studio shut down last September after 23 years. The company, which housed a number of divisions including Yoostar 2 developed Blitz Games and Reservoir Dogs studio Volatile Games, was founded in 1990 by Andrew and Philip Oliver.
The first title from Lumo Developments will release in summer 2014 for mobile devices. Check out our hands-on preview of the team's earlier release Kumo Lumo right here.
