Dead Island: Epidemic beta sign-ups open once again

Beta sign-ups for free-to-play zombie-survival massive online battle arena Dead Island: Epidemic are once again open, published Deep Silver announced.

The game's beta website includes some details about Epidemic's gameplay. Players will form teams and "duke it out" over supply points using crafted weapons and seemingly magic "powers." Players will have direct control over their in-game hero using the WASD key setup and mouse. Dead Island's familiar crafting system will also make a return for players to assemble their weapons.

The page also details one of Epidemic's gameplay modes. Battle Royale is the game's "core mode" in which three teams of four players each fight over a set number of supplies and key map points while fending off zombies.

According to Deep Silver, players who sign up now will be able to join the 30,000 previous alpha testers before the closed beta goes live. These players will also receive exclusive in-game rewards and items, which they can keep after the beta. Timing on the beta is still unannounced. Interested participants can sign up here.
