Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends hits PS devices March 25

Two versions of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends will be released for North American PlayStation devices March 25, publisher Tecmo Koei announced today.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends will be released for PlayStation 3. The standalone expansion will include new episodes that focus on the warrior Lu Bu, add five new playable characters, and Free Mode will get a new Ultimate difficulty. Xtreme Legends also includes "multiple hypothetical scenarios that alter the plot lines of various episodes," according to Tecmo Koei.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and include all of Dynasty Warriors 8's content plus the Xtreme Legends expansion. Those who've played Dynasty Warriors 8 on PlayStation 3 can transfer their saves across all platforms. You can check out screenshots from the PS4 version below.

Tecmo Koei did not reveal a price for either version. We've reached out for more information and will update this article as we learn more. Late last year, Tecmo Koei announced that both games are also headed to Europe in spring 2014.
