Steam now highlights recently updated games

Steam users now have an easy way to see which games on the service have been updated in the past few days, through the new Recently Updated page, Valve announced today.

The Recently Updated section of Steam consists of a list of game updates in reverse chronological order. A subpage will display updates for games you already own.

Valve also updated Steam's back-end developer tools to give developers options related to the Recently Updated page. Game makers can craft the text of an update themselves, and choose whether it gets pushed to the Recently Updated list.

"With this new product section and corresponding developer tools, customers can more easily discover products that provide ongoing value and involvement from the developers," said Valve's Tom Bui in a press release today.

The Recently Updated list will also appear in a box on the main Steam Store page. You can see a screenshot below.
