Payday 2 developer Overkill teases upcoming Election Day DLC

A new video from Payday 2 developer Overkill Software teases upcoming DLC for the multiplayer heist game.

The Election Day DLC tasks players with placing GPS trackers onto trucks transporting ballot machines in order to switch the machines after votes are placed. The studio remains mum on additional details about the upcoming DLC, while a release window is also unclear. A promotional website launched this week featuring a fictional political campaign for mayoral candidate Bob McKendrick.

Overkill's parent company Starbreeze Studio recently signed a reworked Payday 2 contract with publisher 505 Games, replacing the old agreement of five DLC packages and committing to another two other years of DLC for Payday 2. This follows a positive turn-around in the company's latest earnings report attributed to the success of both Payday 2 and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.
