Race the Sun, the sun-fueled endless flying game from indie studio Flippfly, will be available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this summer, the company announced today.
Flippfly funded Race the Sun on Kickstarter for just over $21,000 last March. The studio originally launched the game on Linux, Mac and Windows PC last August, and brought it to Steam in December.
The upcoming ports of Race the Sun will support cross-save across PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, as well as cross-buy — purchasing any of the three versions will also grant the buyer access to the other two. Flippfly has yet to announce the price on PlayStation platforms, but Race the Sun is available for $9.99 on PC.
Race the Sun puts players in control of a solar-powered plane hurtling through the air at speed, and procedurally generates an endless world that also contains some hand-designed obstacles. You can check out a trailer above.
