Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, released as Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan, is now available for Wii U via the Virtual Console.
The Lost Levels was released in Japan in 1986. It made its way to North America as part of Super Mario All-Stars in 1993 and has since been ported to to several other consoles. Like the original Super Mario Bros., The Lost Levels sees Mario or Luigi setting out to save the Princess from Bowser. Although the game looks similar to its predecessor and uses the same enemies, it features more challenging levels.
