Valve now allows Steam users to report games for offenses such as pornography or child exploitation.
Users can flag a game that violates laws in their jurisdiction, contains content that is "patently offensive or intended to shock or disgust," or includes defamatory statements, among other options. Users can also choose to send their own comments to Valve, along with the report.
The report system is similar to the one recently added to Steam's new tagging feature. Following Steam Tags' launch last month, some users began posting offensive and derogatory tags. Valve's Al Farnsworth said that the team continues to improve the system based on user feedback.
