Persona 3 film gets a sequel in Japan on June 7

Last year's theatrical release Persona 3: The Movie is getting a sequel in Japan on June 7, according to a trailer for the upcoming film Persona 3 The Movie #2: A Midsummer Knight's Dream.

This is the second in an unspecified number of productions from Japanese anime studio Anime International Company. The first title in the series released to cinemas on Nov. 23 last year after following its announcement the year prior. The sequel was originally teased in a post-credits sequence at the end of the Persona 3 The Movie: Chapter 1, Spring of Birth feature film.

Persona 3 was released in North America in 2007 for PlayStation 2, and has since been re-released on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
