Aztez, the Aztec-themed hybrid of side-scrolling brawler snd turn-based strategy from Team Colorblind, is in development on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and Xbox One as well as PC, the studio announced today.
Team Colorblind officially formed in 2012, and revealed Aztez as a Linux, Mac and Windows PC title with Oculus Rift support. The PC versions of Aztez are currently scheduled for release in early 2014, and the game is set to arrive on the other platforms at some point after its release on computers.
"If we could, we'd love to launch on everything at once, but really there are just the two of us and launching on a console is a ton of work," said Team Colorblind, which is made up of Ben Ruiz and Matthew Wegner, on its blog.
The studio released a new trailer today, showing off Aztez's bloody combat, which has a color scheme — grayscale plus crimson — reminiscent of Platinum Games' 2010 action title, MadWorld. Team Colorblind is showing off a playable demo of Aztez on Xbox One during the 2014 Game Developers Conference this week. For more, check out our preview from PAX Prime 2014.
