Mobile-based card game X-Men: Battle of the Atom is now available on Android devices following its release on iOS systems earlier this year.
The Android release includes cross-platform functionality, allowing for competitive play with iPhone users.
Battle of the Atom launched for free on iOS in January after a short delay in 2013. The game, which was first announced last year, was initially slated for a fall 2013 release following the launch of a crossover comic book series of the same name.
Written by X-Men comic alumni James Asmus, X-Men: Battle of the Atom has more than 45 missions and a roster of characters including Beast, Kitty Pryde, Storm, Wolverine and more. Players will be able to join 20 versus 20 battles in real time, play raid events and participate in story arcs that span months and connect with X-Men stories like Age of Apocalypse and Schism.
