The original Hotline Miami from developer Dennaton Games is coming to PlayStation 4 systems with cross-buy capabilities for users hoping to access the neo-noir shooter on PS Vita, Devolver Digital's Nigel Lowrie told Destructoid during last week's GDC.
The Texas-based publisher and distributor worked alongside Dennaton Games to publish Hotline Miami as part of the company's transition to distributing indie titles. Hotline Miami, which reared its head in 2012, first launched on Windows PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, PS Vita and Linux.
The indie games studio is targeting the third quarter of this year for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, an upcoming sequel to the hyper-violent shooter which is also planned for release on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, alongside Windows PC and Mac.
Hotline Miami 2 promises players an "escalating level of violence" that will play out in the wake of the events of the first game. The sequel will feature a cast of characters with greater depth, its creators say, and include a new "hard mode" difficulty option.
