OlliOlli heading to Linux, Mac, PlayStation 3, PS4 and Windows this summer

OlliOlli, Roll7's side-scrolling skateboarding game, will launch for Linux, Mac, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this summer, the developer announced today.

BlitWorks, the company responsible for the PlayStation ports on games such as Fez and Spelunky, will work on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 editions. According to the announcement, BlitWorks is "very close to getting the crash bug fixed" in the Vita version, and a patch is due with an update that "should put a smile on people's faces."

Roll7 director Simon Bennett said the first playable version of the game is already running on the PS4 and "it's like our little OlliOlli grew up and got some balls."

Speaking with Polygon via email, Bennett said that the PlayStation versions "will be very similar [to the Vita edition], with one major addition — but we have to keep that under our hats at the moment!"

The game's Windows PC version, announced last month, is also due this summer. Hotline Miami publisher Devolver Digital will help release the game for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.

OlliOlli first launched for PlayStation Vita in January. The game was originally planned for iOS, but was repurposed for a Vita release after a meeting with Sony. As per the developer's deal, OlliOlli will remain a Vita exclusive until its summer release on other platforms.
