Joe Danger Infinity gets Daily Challenges with latest update

The latest update for Joe Danger Infinity, Hello Games' iOS-based installment in the stunt racing series, adds daily challenges, the developer announced today.

The Daily Challenge update, or update 1.1.0, unlocks new levels each day. Players who beat the level's set scores will win coins; levels also include scoreboards for players to compare their accomplishments. According to Hello Games' Sean Murray, the challenges are a spin on a mode added to Joe Danger Touch.

"It featured pretty traditional levels, but this time we wanted to add a little extra competition and a little more reward ... and a lot of risk," Murray said. "The levels are super challenging, with multiple routes you'll need to take the best advantage of and loads of traps and hazards. You'll need to keep tricking to raise your multiplier, which will go as high as you can make it, but don't trick when you should be dodging! It's intense!"

Hello Games announced Joe Danger Infinity for iOS last year; the game was released in January, despite the developer's office flood on Christmas Eve. According to Murray, Joe Danger Infinity is the developer's biggest launch yet.

"At the time I write this, Joe has crashed 2,268,112 times," Murray said. "That means on average he's died 1,700 times an hour ever since we released the game. Sorry, Joe."

The developer added that Joe Danger Infinity also supports iOS 7 controllers, which makes the title "almost a rhythm-action game."
