Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd is headed to PS3 and PlayStation Vita this fall

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd will arrive in Europe and North America for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in fall 2014, Sega of America associate brand manger Aaron Webber announced today on the PlayStation Blog.

Crypton Future Media's rhythm game, in which players tap buttons in time with music, will ship with 40 songs and four difficulty modes. Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd will also feature Edit Mode, which lets players create and share their own videos and games. Check out the announcement trailer above to see and hear the game, which will be available as both physical media and a download.

The first game in the series, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f, got its first Western release on PlayStation Vita earlier this month. According to Webber, fans of the blue-haired singer and her games are to thank for the sequel's upcoming release.

"We believed in all of you and we asked for your support — and you gave it to us without reservation," he wrote. "It was your supportive comments, your encouraging words at every place we showed the game, and your drive that made all the difference. Some of you bought the game twice — others three or even four times. But whether you picked it up once or four times, all of you helped make Miku a success, and still do. Thank you so much for that."
