Hyperdimension Neptunia remake launching for PlayStation Vita this summer

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, a remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia, will launch for PlayStation Vita in "late summer" for North America and Europe, Idea Factory International announced today.

Hyperdimension Neptunia takes place in a universe protected by goddesses known as CPUs. After CPU Neptune is defeated and expelled from the heavens, she must regain her memories and journey to save the world. The game was released for PlayStation 3 in 2011; the handheld version will include new graphics, an updated battle system, a new ending and more.

Those who purchase the Vita version will also be able to add new characters and raise the game's level cap through downloadable content.

A specific release date for Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 has not been announced.
